Program Overview

Embark on an unforgettable STEM journey in Dublin, Ireland! The Engineering, Technology, and Sciences program offers students a unique chance to immerse themselves in an enriching academic experience while enjoying the history and culture of the United Kingdom’s most vibrant cities. With access to CIEE courses, our local school partner, and an extensive catalog of more than 3,000 online classes available through Arizona State University (including lab-based courses), you can tailor your studies to fit your interests and degree requirements.

As Ireland's capital and primary technological center, Dublin is the perfect place to study engineering and technology. Immerse yourself in Ireland's largest university and CIEE's partner school by enrolling in courses at University College Dublin (UCD) alongside Irish and international students. While abroad, you’ll be able to select coursework across various fields including engineering, anatomy, math, biochemistry, molecular and cell biology, computer science, astronomy, and more at UCD. Additionally, you can combine UCD courses with CIEE electives taught by adjunct lecturers at CIEE Dublin, located in the heart of the city!

Beyond academics, you’ll have ample opportunities to enrich your cultural experience. Engage in extracurricular and co-curricular activities that take you off the beaten path, exploring hidden gems and enjoying immersive excursions throughout Dublin. Whether you’re visiting historical landmarks or experiencing local traditions, you’ll gain a better understanding of Irish culture. Both in and out of the classroom, this program is an opportunity to broaden your horizons, make lasting memories, and set yourself apart in the competitive world of STEM!

Professional Development

A for-credit part-time internship allows students the opportunity to have practical work experience in a company within engineering, technology, or science sectors. In addition to the on-site business experience, students participating in an internship program have a weekly classroom component, which provides academic support to their practical experience. In previous semesters, CIEE Dublin students have been placed in internships with organizations working in diverse areas from Artificial Intelligence to Medical Diagnostics to Food Science.
