From 1987-2007 there were just three active distilleries producing the entirety of Irish whiskey. Today, there are at least 30 whiskey distilleries in operation. This major boom requires planning and logistics for how this product will make its way to
the right place, at the right time, in the right quantity and through the right channels to the right consumer. Having a successful supply chain management strategy in place is to key to success for this growing industry. You’ll study
first-hand through visits to local distilleries how those at the helm of this explosive industry are managing the demand for their product.
